Charles Lin, founder of Yoshine Helicopters, has intended to develop an easy, safe & economical personal helicopter that everybody can fly, like the one below, the American Helicopter Dream of the 1950's.
By 1992, the first of such a “Helicopter” was complete and sold to a UCLA professor in LA for commuting to campus from his suburban hill home where he also kept horses and a swimming pool.
By 1994, the first such a improved personal helicopter made its public flight demo at the Florida "EAA Sun-n-Fun" Airshow, demonstrating the ultralight helicopter's "Autorotation" capability to land safelywith engine quits from10 to 25 feetabove the ground as shown in the video below:
“Autorotation" is an inherent characteristic and ability of a “helicopter”, as learned from an ancient Bamboo toy. Once you've learned and mastered the autorotation procedure, you will be able to land a helicopter safely, when the engine "quits", even at the very low height of 10 to 25 ft !
"Autorotation" capability is what makes helicopters “inherently safe”, this is the SKILL you have to learn to master, once you've learned and mastered the "autorotation" procedure, you are safe to fly.
In 1996, Charles Lin was invited to the "Monte Carlo Yacht & Helicopter Show" where Prince Rainier of Monaco happened to have come personally to witness the Personal Helicopter presented locally by our European sales partner.
In 2002, with help from AIDC, Yoshine's first "Coaxial Unmanned Helicopter" took off in Taichung, Taiwan, and Yoshine was invited to exhibit at the HeliTech 2003, in Duxford, UK.
Operating costs are less than all other comparable eVTOL solutions.
